Jennings Beer Festival

Independently brewed beers from around Cumbria, celebrating indie beer week 2026 at the Jennings Beer Festival. With street food vendors and live music all weekend. 4-10pm Friday & 12-9pm Saturday. Tickets are available to purchase on the day. £8 per adult, per day. Includes free tokens worth 1 pint or 2 halves. Beer tokens will be available to purchase. Children go free and is dog friendly.

Gut Health Workshop

4 hour workshop to understand what’s going on in your gut. Root causes to bloating, link gut health and stress, understanding fibre and its role and understanding digestive patterns. A gut friendly lunch is included, practical and informative sessions led by an experienced registered and accredited Nutritional Therapist.

Effective Listening

Free half-day training (from 9am to 1pm) for anyone who is involved in pastoral support of adults or children in everyday life or in a specific volunteering context, including: understanding the value and impact of active listening skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, and getting a chance to practice them in a safe space with others. Led by NISCU (Northern Inter-Schools Christian Union) and the Grasmoor MIssion Community. Supported by Cockermouth Town Council.

Supporting Mental Health and Trauma in Everyday Conversation

Free half-day training (10am to 12.30pm) for anyone interested in supporting friends, neighbours and others whom they might meet, who have experienced trauma or serious mental health experiences, including dealing with difficult conversations around mental health and also an introduction to trauma and its causes and how to consider the extra needs of people around us who have may have suffered it. Led by Step Forward/Cumbria CVS and Grasmoor Mission Community. Supported by Cockermouth Town Council.
