Independently brewed beers from around Cumbria, celebrating indie beer week 2026 at the Jennings Beer Festival. With street food vendors and live music all weekend. 4-10pm Friday & 12-9pm Saturday. Tickets are available to purchase on the day. £8 per adult, per day. Includes free tokens worth 1 pint or 2 halves. Beer tokens will be available to purchase. Children go free and is dog friendly.

Bring along old items in need of repair to be mended by our skilled volunteers. Shared free lunch of bread, soup & cake while you wait. Repairs free, donations welcome! 12 noon until 2:30pm, every third Saturday of the month.

4 hour workshop to understand what’s going on in your gut. Root causes to bloating, link gut health and stress, understanding fibre and its role and understanding digestive patterns. A gut friendly lunch is included, practical and informative sessions led by an experienced registered and accredited Nutritional Therapist.

Free half-day training (from 9am to 1pm) for anyone who is involved in pastoral support of adults or children in everyday life or in a specific volunteering context, including: understanding the value and impact of active listening skills, including verbal and non-verbal communication, and getting a chance to practice them in a safe space with others. Led by NISCU (Northern Inter-Schools Christian Union) and the Grasmoor MIssion Community. Supported by Cockermouth Town Council.

Remember the days of jumble sales? Ratching through all manner of stuff and things, hunting out the bargains, spending your pocket money on random bits and pieces… Those were the days… We are bringing back the humble jumble sale at the Kirkgate, as part of our 90s themed weekend! Raising vital funds for the centre. (Doors open at 10am)

Whether it’s original creations from local makers and crafters,unwanted household items, CD’s, books, DVD’s, toys and games you’re sure to find some treasure among our sellers offerings. Come in from 10am – 1pm. Free entry.

A monthly Art & Craft Fair held in the centre of Cockermouth. Featuring Artists and Craftspeople, all local to the area. Free admission, 10.00am – 4.30pm.

The festival is a great day out for the whole family. A trail of 70-100 scarecrows located around Dean village, an event perfectly capturing the Cumbrian village spirit. With arts, activities, music, festival teas and entirely community driven.

A warm friendly evening, is a wonderful opportunity to discover a variety of natural health approaches and wellbeing practices. The evening is free and will cover topics such as: sleep issues, stress and anxiety, nutrition and supplements, plus a Q&A session. 7pm – 9pm (no need to book).

Free half-day training (10am to 12.30pm) for anyone interested in supporting friends, neighbours and others whom they might meet, who have experienced trauma or serious mental health experiences, including dealing with difficult conversations around mental health and also an introduction to trauma and its causes and how to consider the extra needs of people around us who have may have suffered it. Led by Step Forward/Cumbria CVS and Grasmoor Mission Community. Supported by Cockermouth Town Council.

This year we are be hosting our inaugural 10km race from school around the quiet country roads in the picturesque Bridekirk and Tallentire area. Parking will be available at M-Sport.

Cockermouth Titans will once again host Titan Fest! A hugely popular event within Cockermouth’s calendar – with live music throughout the day, food vendors and more. Ticketed event (which do sell out fast) gates open from 1pm.

A town wide music festival at the beginning of July, which celebrates great live entertainment for all ages, with an exciting programme of headline ticketed events, and a weekend of free gigs by local musicians and performers hosted by over 20 venues across the town.

The annual Cockermouth Agricultural Show is a vibrant celebration of rural life, farming, and community spirit. Packed with livestock classes, equine competitions, traditional crafts, children’s entertainment, local food, and trade stands, it’s a fun-filled day out for the whole family.

Get ready for LortonFest 2026! A huge weekend of music, fun and good craic all held in the picturesque setting of the Lorton Valley. The free event will involve live music from local and regional performers, great local beers, street food, and a fantastic community atmosphere. Camping options on-site are available via prior booking.

If you love a proper country gathering, head to Loweswater Show on Sunday 6 September 2026. From agriculture and animals, to classic cars and traditional classes, there’s loads going on for all to enjoy.

Cockermouth Rotary Club and Cockermouth Golf Club host our annual Charity Open this year on Sunday 13th September 2026. Tee times from 8am to 1pm. 4 player team event. Any combination of men, ladies, juniors. Entry fee £50 per team. Entries through Cockermouth Golf Club.
