What's on in Cockermouth?

Cockermouth is home to a number of regular and annual events. These include two Taste Cumbria events in September and December. The Cockermouth Show & LortonFest every August and the Loweswater Show in September. Plus Cockermouth Live music festival in July. 

Does Cockermouth hold family-friendly events?

Yes, all of Cockermouths’ annual events are family-friendly. Most events are free to attend, though rides and other attractions may charge admission. Cockermouth has 8 public carparks throughout the town and plenty of public toilets during major events.

Titan Fest

Cockermouth Titans will once again host Titan Fest! A hugely popular event within Cockermouth’s calendar – with live music throughout the day, food vendors and more. Ticketed event (which do sell out fast) gates open from 1pm.

Art & Craft Fair

Touch a Truck family fun day

Health & Wellbeing Evening

Cockermouth LIVE!

A town wide music festival at the beginning of July, which celebrates great live entertainment for all ages, with an exciting programme of headline ticketed events, and a weekend of free gigs by local musicians and performers hosted by over 20 venues across the town.

Cockermouth Repair Café

The Golden Age Concert

Christ Church, Sullart Street, Cockermouth

Composers including Vaughan Williams, Parry, Holst and Howells were writing wonderful choral music at the beginning of the twentieth century. This has come to be known as the golden age of British choral music. Ian Wright will be presenting a concert of golden age songs featuring Cockermouth Harmonic Singers and the Throstle Ensemble. The music, including Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs, varies from spiritual to stirring, but is always very listenable. Suitable for all the family, tickets will cost £16, with accompanied u-16s free. The concert starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Billy Bowman’s music shop in Cockermouth, 01900 826708, or from choir members.

Cockermouth Show 2026
