Higham Hall College
From concerts and lectures to outdoor theatre, workshops and short residential courses in the arts, humanities and natural history, Higham has something for the creative and curious in everyone.
We are open all year round with over 350 courses available, from heritage crafts to botany, music to archaeology, philosophy to Nordic walking. Come to learn with leading experts, artists, makers and musicians from across the UK.
We cater for all interests and levels of expertise, whether it’s a new hobby or a masterclass you are after. Higham Hall is an independent residential college, an educational trust and centre for the provision and advancement of adult education (Charity no.1124959). Nestled in a quiet corner of the north-west Lake District, the college occupies a 200-year old, grade II listed building surrounded by 6 acres of gardens, encompassing mature woodland, meadow and wetland areas which provide important natural habitats for wildlife including endangered red squirrels and our own bees.
