Cockermouth Chiropody/Podiatry Ltd is an accredited practice with the College of Podiatry
The practice has been looking after the people of Cumbria’s feet since 2001. All the Podiatrists are registered with the Health and Carers Professions Council (HCPC)
The friendly team is headed up by experienced podiatrist Adele Holmes who began her career in 1989. She makes sure every patient leaves smiling and walking on air.
Whatever your foot complication we can help…. from simple nail care, the removal of hard skin, corns, verruca, nail surgery under local anaesthesia, musculoskeletal assessment/ biomechanics, orthotics …. Podiatrists are the experts for all foot, ankle or lower limb complications.
The practice also has a BTL Shockwave Therapy Unit, recommended by NICE for conditions such as Plantar Fasciitis and other soft tissue injuries. Adele is trained and insured to use Shockwave Therapy on other areas such as Frozen Shoulder or Tennis Elbow.
Adele was Lead Diabetic Specialist Podiatrist at Wirral Hospital Trust for many years so the practice is experienced in all high risk Diabetic Foot Complications and can complete your diabetic foot check or refer you directly to the Diabetic Multidisciplinary Foot Team.
The practice has established pathways for direct referral to NHS MDT Foot Teams and is proud to work with Mr A L Murphy BSc (Hons) MRes FCPodS Podiatric Surgeon if patients require complex foot surgery.
As medical professionals we are open during the pandemic lockdowns and we still have capacity to accommodate any new patients
