Bar downstairs serving real ales, ciders, lagers, wine and spirits. Large sun terraced beer garden to the rear. Dogs welcome downstairs and the beer garden.
Situated in the heart of Market Place, don’t be deceived from the outside, as inside is a hidden gem of rooms full of history and original features dating back to the sixteenth century.
The Castle Bar is a popular bar, and has received various awards from CAMRA and we are also Cask Marque awarded to. We have 6 real ale hand pumps, 2 real ciders on tap, 4 IPA beers, 2 keg ciders, and 4 lagers on tap along with Guinness, wine and a fantastic selection of spirits.
Downstairs is drinks only, and there is the TV’s for the sports enthusiastic, and where we welcome our doggie friends too.
If you prefer to just join us for a drink , then there is no better place than outside in our terraced garden. A lovely sun trap for when the Cumbrian sun does make an appearance!
