Spirit of Christmas is Cockermouth’s sparkling late night shopping event. Pick up everything you need for the Christmas season, then eat and drink in the lovely restaurants and pubs.

Our annual Christingle Service to which everyone is welcome. 3pm start. Christingle is a great way for communities everywhere to get together this Christmas to catch up, make some special memories, and have fun. Come and join us!

Christmas will be upon us before we know it and to start your celebrations, Cockermouth Harmonic Singers are inviting you to come to Stir Up Advent. At 3pm on 1 December you can come to United Reformed Church in Cockermouth hear Advent carols and readings, followed by some festive treats. Ian Wright will lead the music, accompanied by well-known local musician, Fiona Weakley. Suitable for all the family, tickets will cost £10, with accompanied u16s free. Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 25 October for the incredibly popular Supper Club. It’s is being held on Thursday 5 December at Low Hall the Lakes and will feature a Michelin-starred menu from the team at The Cottage in the Wood. £65pp.

Get in to the festive spirit with Taste Cumbria Christmas in Cockermouth on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December 2024. Taste Cumbria treats you to more than just food and drink at the Christmas event. There will be gifts and homewares, seasonal specials and all the sweet and savoury treats you’d expect from the county’s favourite food festival.
