At Recreate & Make we teach creative courses and sell handmade designer gifts. We also sell our own cards and craft kits.
We are two textile/designer makers (Sarah Ames and Maggi Toner-Edgar) who have taught our subject for many years at schools and universities. We have led the way on professional Qualifications on art textiles/fashion programmes. Teaching all aspects from design to embroidery to pattern drafting.
We host after school textile clubs and regular midweek adult creative courses. Our weekly Saturday workshops provide a rolling programme of activities for beginners to advanced stitchers.
You can learn how to use your machine or learn hand – stitching, basic repairs and dressmaking techniques. This is a springboard to other advanced creative courses in art journalling, millinery and free machine and hand embroidery.
We also sell our own hand made craft kits and designer/maker products for fashion and interiors including art textiles, art dolls, interior products, purses, pouches and other fashion and accessories including Hats. We also create craft kits and provide small items of haberdashery, wool, needles, fat quarters and sundries
