We send a range of vintage and other items in our charity shop but we deliver a range of services from our hub.
Age UK operate from two sites in Cockermouth. Vint-Age UK West Cumbria, which is our charity shop and our hub at 93 Main Street – where we deliver services and activities to support older people in West Cumbria.
The hub offers support for older people on around unclaimed benefits and access to income sources to improve their lives and enable them to enjoy later life. The hub provides a vibrant space where we offer a range of activities where people can enjoy socialising with like minded people and some activities which can help improve strength and balance – to improve fitness.
The hub is open during the week and welcomes new people who are looking for new opportunities to socialise or if they simply require some information or advice.
Our Vint-Age shop offers a relaxing shopping environment where you can pick up a lovely vintage item or update your wardrobe with well priced clothing items from great brands. It’s not a charity shop as you know it – Age UK West Cumbria presents, for your delight, it’s first Vint-Age emporium! We have a sister shop in Whitehaven too now!
